Cardinal System Holdings ("Cardinal") was established to manage the holdings of the Taylor Family and pursue acquisitions of Coca-Cola bottling, sales, and distribution operations.
Cardinal formed Coca-Cola Beverages Florida ("Coke Florida") to acquire Coca-Cola sales and distribution operations in Central Florida.
Coke Florida acquired Coca-Cola sales and distribution operations in North Florida and production facilities in Jacksonville and Orlando. These acquisitions doubled the size of Coke Florida and made it a fully integrated Coca-Cola bottler.
Coke Florida acquired Coca-Cola sales and distribution operations in South Florida and production facilities in Tampa and Broward. These acquisitions tripled the size of Coke Florida and made it the sixth-largest Coca-Cola bottler in the US.
Cardinal formed Cardinal System Ventures to pursue investments in business ventures, emerging companies, and private investment funds.
Cardinal formed Cardinal Vending & Markets to acquire Florida Fresh Vending & Markets, a provider of unattended food, beverage, and pantry retail solutions.
Cardinal formed Tellus Equipment Solutions to acquire 21 John Deere agriculture and turf equipment dealerships across Central and South Texas.
Cardinal formed Cardinal Equipment Services to acquire Gekay Sales & Services, a food and beverage equipment sales and service business.
Tellus opened a store in Austin and acquired Clark Tractor & Supply (2 stores), bringing its store count to 24 locations.
Cardinal has begun to actively manage its real estate holdings which has grown to over 3 million square feet of space and over 500 acres of land.
Tellus acquired Bramlett Implement, Marble Falls, San Antonio and Bulverde, bringing its store count to 28 locations.
Since 2015, Cardinal has grown its revenue base 10.8x, its asset base 13.2x, and its employee count 4.5x.
